EC-8 Principal
Zac Erickson began serving as EC–8 Principal and MTSS Coordinator at Hill City School after previously serving as the school's K-12 Principal from 2023–2025. Following his time at Hill City, Zac served as a MTSS Coordinator for a neighboring school district and elementary teacher. His teaching experience includes kindergarten and fifth grade in both Minnesota and Colorado before transitioning into educational leadership.
Zac earned his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Bemidji State University and his Master's Degree in Education, along with his K-12 Principal licensure, from Bethel University. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Leadership, where his focuses on strategic planning and sustainable leadership practices in rural schools.
As principal, Zac is committed to building strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the Hill City community while ensuring every student has access to high-quality instruction. His professional interests include instructional leadership, literacy, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and strategic planning.
