ISD 002 Assessment Information
Effective assessment programs in education should be comprehensive, valid, and reliable. ISD 002 use a variety of assessment methods to capture a complete picture of students’ learning and we ensure our assessments align with instructional objectives. ISD 002 uses three different assessment tools to measure student growth including the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA), FastBridge, and STAR.
MCA: Reading, Math and Science
Purpose: To assess student learning determined by the Minnesota Benchmarks

Estimated times are: Reading 2.5-3.5 hours
Math 1.5 – 2 hours
Science 1.75 hours
Schedule: Students may work for all or part of their scheduled time depending on how much time is individually needed to complete the section. Makeup tests will be scheduled as needed.
FastBridge & STAR:** Reading and Math**
Purpose: to give teachers accurate, reliable and valid data quickly so they can make decisions about tier 1 instruction and tier 2 interventions.
