MDI Success at Work Scholarship
There are 40-$2,000 scholarships to be given to students in areas that MDI serves.
Priority consideration will be given to students who:
· Have received special education services (IEP or 504 plan), or
· Plan to pursue careers supporting individuals with disabilities — such as Social Services, Special Education, American Sign Language, Audiology, Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Neurology.
· Past recipients are encouraged to reapply

Blandin Foundation Scholarships
Awards range from $1,000-$5,000 per student.
In order to be eligible, a student must:
Be under the age of 25
Have a household Adjusted Gross Income of less than 125,000
Plan to pursue a certificate program, tribal or community technical college, or college/university anywhere in the United States.

Eligibility - Essentia Health – Future in Healthcare Scholarship
Students who are majoring in Healthcare with a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Go to gracf.org, scholarships, apply for a scholarship, log in and you will see Eligibility - Essentia Health – Future in Healthcare Scholarship. The student will take the eligibility quiz and if they meet the criteria, they will then see the application to complete.
SFM Foundation Scholarship:
SFM Foundation scholarships may be used toward the costs of attending a two-year or four-year university, college, vocational school or graduate school. To qualify, students must have a parent who was disabled or fatally injured while working for Minnesota or Iowa employers. Scholarships are awarded up to a maximum of $15,000 a year. Children of Warriors National Scholarship
$5,000-15 awards given. In order to be eligible, a student must:
1)Be daughters, sons, grandsons, granddaughters, great-granddaughters, or great-grandsons of veterans who served in the Armed Forces.
2)Excel in academics at school and participate in volunteer activities outside of school.

Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship
$500- 2 awards given. In order to be eligible a student must:
Have been applied and accepted to a four-year college or university with plans to attain a B.A or B.S.
In two pages or less, discuss the future needs of the area and how the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce can address those needs.
OR
Be pursuing a two-year degree or certification in a vocational/technical industry needed locally.
Provide a summary of how your field of intended study may be used to contribute to the growth of this community.
Applicants must be willing to participate in an interview process if selected.

Riverwood Healthcare Center Medical Lab Technician or Surgical Technologist Scholarship
Riverwood Healthcare Center provides annual scholarship awards to eligible high school students in the Aitkin County community who wish to pursue a degree in health care. Our hope is that in the future, students will return to work in the communities we serve. In 2023, applications are open to students wishing to pursue a career in medical laboratory technician and/or surgical technologist. This scholarship is open to students, without respect to race, creed, national origin or any other legally protected class.
In order to be eligible, a student must:
Be a graduating high school senior at any Aitkin County High School.
Be pursuing a Medical Laboratory Technician or Surgical Technologist AAS degree.
Current GPA of at least a 3.0.
Complete the application in full of all supporting documents and on time.
Complete required interview(s) with the Scholarship Selection Committee ∙
Commit to working at Riverwood Healthcare Center for a minimum of two years following completion of degree.

$1,500-1 award given. In order to be eligible, a student must:
Be a graduating senior of Hill City High School, McGregor High School, Minisinaakwang Leadership Academy, or live in Aitkin County and attend outlining area schools and home study programs are encouraged to apply.
Be planning to attend a four-year college, community college, vocational school or trade school program.
Complete the application and written essay.
The topic for the essay is: "What is the financial impact townships have on the
residents?"

Jack Moon Scholarship
Applicants must:
- Be graduates of a public high school located within St. Louis County, Lake County, Carlton
County, Aitkin County or Itasca County, Minnesota.
- Demonstrate good character and academic ability and readiness.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Be enrolled full time or part time in an accredited vocational or trade school in Minnesota, Wisconsin, or Michigan in a qualified vocational or trade program.

Scholarship specifics:
This scholarship is for one year only; however, current recipients may reapply and be
